Communities In Schools of Mancelona - Stuff The Bus!

                                                                                                                        Communities In Schools of Mancelona is sponsoring a summer campaign to Stuff the Bus! Beginning July 12 through September 9th, we will be collecting school supplies for our area children.  
 
The Stuff the Bus campaign depends on personal involvement from civic-minded people like you. Here are some ways in which you can help kid's choose success:
 
·         Donate new school supplies at a designated collection site (Mancelona Family Resource Center, Glen’s Market, Aura Tanning & Nails, Mancelona Hardware and Rental and Mancelona True Value).
·         Make a much-needed, tax-deductible donation (payable to CIS, 205 Grove Street, Mancelona, MI 49659).
·         Encourage local organizations and businesses in becoming involved in Stuff the Bus campaign
·         Participate in the Stuff the Bus Family Event
 
                                                   

All donated materials must be safe for young children and use only non-toxic materials (no broken, used or worn supplies, please). The following is a list of some of the supplies we need most:

  • Pencils (#2 with eraser)
  • Ballpoint pens
  • Notebook paper
  • Rulers and protractors
  • Crayons (in box)
  • Pencil sharpeners (small)
  • Construction paper
  • Staplers
  • White school glue     

 

  •  Highlighters
  • Colored pencils and pens
  • Safety scissors
  • Erasers
  • Glue sticks
  • Graph paper
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Pocket folders
  •  3-ring binders
